Position Details:

  • Position Type:

  • Hospital Setting:
    Join a 231-bed regional referral hospital, contributing to the well-being of the community.
  • Electronic Medical Records:
    Utilize Epic EMR for efficient patient care and record-keeping.
  • Inpatient and Outpatient Integration:
    Participate in a vibrant inpatient program, with the outpatient practice located in the same department as the Geriatrics Practice.
  • Call Rotation:
    Engage in an inpatient weekend call rotation, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
  • Work Schedule:
    Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm), offering a balanced and predictable schedule.
  • Collaborative Role:
    Serve as the primary collaborative physician for two Palliative Care Inpatient NPs and a NP specializing in transitional care within the outpatient clinic.
  • Alternative Collaboration:
    Act as an alternative collaborative physician for two NPs focusing on geriatric medicine within the outpatient clinic.
  • Medical Equipment:
    Utilize advanced medical equipment, including EKG machines, Sophia-Flu, Covid Reader, and A1C testing.

  • Experience:
    Apply your experience with working alongside APPs and managing end-of-life and chronic illnesses.
  • Compassionate Care:
    Demonstrate compassion for ill patients and their families, contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.


Qualifications:

  • Board Certification:
    Board Eligible or Board Certified in Palliative Care.

  • Experience:
    Previous experience in inpatient and outpatient palliative care medicine is desired.
  • Licensure:
    Hold an Indiana Medical License to practice medicine in the state.
  • Certifications:
    Maintain BLS/ACLS certifications to ensure patient safety.
